Most popular transfers for Gameweek 4
Watching the transfer market is one of the biggest parts of FPL management. This is especially true in the early parts of the season. Ensuring that your players don’t drop in price and cost you team value is key. We assess the transfer market and the most popular transfers for Gameweek 4.
Players rise and fall in price in FPL based on the number of transfers in or out they have. Here we look at who has been transferred in and out the most ahead of the deadline.
Top transfers in
After returns in all three of the opening Gameweeks of the season Rodrigo is the most popular transfer in. The midfielder is the top FPL points scorer so far this season with 35 points. Rodrigo started the season priced at £6.0m and has already risen four times. He now costs FPL managers £6.4m. Rodrigo and Leeds face Brighton in Gameweek 4.
Tottenham’s Ivan Perisic is the second most popular transfer ahead of the Gameweek 4 deadline. Perisic started his first Premier League match for Spurs in Gameweek 3 where he returned 12 points as a result of a clean sheet, an assist and all three bonus points. Perisic and Spurs travel to newly promoted Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Trippier, Toney and Saliba make up the top five most transferred in players after they all returned in Gameweek 3.
Top transfers out
After Koulibaly’s red card in Gameweek 3 he is the most transferred out player ahead of Gameweek 4. Darwin Nunez continues to be in the top five most transferred out players, a further 265,000 managers have sold him since the Gameweek 3 deadline.
Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is the second most transferred out player ahead of Gameweek 4. Alexander-Arnold has returned just 4 points so far this season and a over 394,000 managers have lost patience with the defender. However they may regret the decision to sell with Liverpool facing Bournemouth next. Bournemouth have conceded 48 crosses down their left flank. 11 more than any other team. 22 more than on their right flank. Alexander-Arnold will be down the Bournemouth left this weekend.
Midfielders Neto from Wolves and Arsenal’s Saka make up the rest of the top five most transferred out players for Gameweek 4. Both Odegaard and Martinelli have outscored Saka so for this season and cost less money. As a result many FPL managers may be looking to save money to redistribute in to a third playing forward.
