Every week FBL Thinker, an expert in the Bundesliga game will pick out his best picks for the upcoming Matchday. Here FBL Thinker looks ahead to Matchday 4 with his Bundesliga top three picks by position.
Matchday 3 was an average one for me. I accumulated 134 points moving to an overall rank of 46 in the Bundesliga game. So keep following the picks to get to know about the best players for the matchday and improve those fantasy scores.
Here are my Bundesliga top three picks by position for Matchday 4.
FORWARDS
Sadio Mané (£16.7m) was again on the scoresheet against Bochum and accumulated 15pts in Matchday 3. He has a home match against Gladbach in Matchday 4. Gladbach conceded a lot of chances against Hertha last week. This would provide Mane with opportunities to get attacking return
Michael Gregoritsch (£7.7m) has a home match against Bochum in Matchday 4. Bochum conceded seven goals last weekend. Therefore it’s evident that a Freiburg striker will be close to essential this week.
Timo Wener (£14.1m) is looking sharp since arriving in the Bundesliga from Chelsea. He is involved in a lot of attacking play for Leipzig. They play Wolfsburg at home in Matchday 4 and this is just the match Leipzig will be looking to turn around their season. Werner will be expected to score goals in this one.
MIDFIELDERS
Vincenzo Grifo (13.8m) is the main man for the Freiburg attack and is also on all set-pieces. He has got an attacking return in two of the opening three matches of the season. A match against a defensively weak Bochum side makes him a must own this week.
Joshua Kimmich (16.2m) is one of the most consistent performing fantasy assets. In the first three matches he has contributed an attacking return every time. This makes him a good pick for the fantasy team.
Marco Reus (£12.3m) has been doing very well this season and is an integral part of the Dortmund attack. Playing bottom dweller Hertha this Matchday Dortmund are expected to do well. Reus, who is integral to their team, should be an essential pick.
DEFENDERS
With the injury to Davies Benjamin Pavard (£11.6m) looks the best way into the Bayer backline. He is performing well this season and Bayern are expected to keep a clean sheet at home against Gladbach.
Christian Günter (£12.9m) is the third highest scoring defender in the game. He has three back-to-back 10+ point scores, which shows the value Gunter offers. A home match against Bochum and Gunter is expected to be an essential player to own.
Though Dortmund conceded 3 goals last match , they still have a good chance of keeping a clean sheet against Hertha. Nico Schlotterbeck (£12.2m) is playing in the centre of their defence. This means he has chances to win lots of duals and accumulate fantasy points.
GOALKEEPER
Mark Flekken (£10.7m) registered a clean sheet in the last game against Augsburg. In that game he picked up 12 points for his owners. Flekken is one of the most reliable keeper options for Matchday 4, especially as he is playing against a weak Bochum team.
Alexander Schwolow(£6.6m) has been one of the top performing keepers in the game. A home game against Union could see him make a lot of saves and there is a decent chance of cleansheet also. This makes him a good pick.
Robin Zentner (£7.0m) plays a misfiring Leverkusen team at home in Matchday 4. Mainz are traditionally a good defensive side, espcailly at home. Therefore, Zentner looks to be a good option this week.
