Looking at the next FPL opponent of various players to assess whether their record is good or bad against them.

Here is the data on how attacking FPL assets usually fare against their next opponents. Clearly a lot can change in the years since Striker A scored a hat-trick against Team B. However, if a player enjoys playing at a certain ground against a particular centre back, that is useful information.
Despite this, Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t included because his 2003-09 appearances were too long ago to be relevant.
Points of interest
At the top is Mohamed Salah. Although he has a strong record against Southampton, he hasn’t scored in the previous three meetings. Just the two assists.
Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling adores facing West Ham – especially away. From his nine visits to east London, he has five goals, eight assists and four double-digit hauls. This includes a hat-trick on the opening weekend of the 2019/20 season.
Fellow Man City midfielder Jack Grealish added his own pain to West Ham whilst at Aston Villa. Both of his last two trips to the Hammers brought ten points.
Whilst Harry Kane has more goals against Burnley, Son Heung-min has a better points-per-90 ratio and three double-digit scores from the last four meetings with the Clarets.
Leicester’s Jamie Vardy has contrasting records against his Double Gameweek 37 opponents. The last six clashes with Watford have seen six goals – including two in Gameweek 13. Yet his last six versus Chelsea are goalless.
Danny Ings scored against former club Burnley on Saturday and faces them again in this double. He has scored in his last four meetings against them, delivering 35 points.
The final mention goes to Diogo Jota. Late November’s reverse fixture against Southampton saw Jota score two goals.
