LiveFPL GW36 Deadline: Ownership and Chips data

Last modified date

LiveFPL provides fantastic detail regarding player ownership, chip usage and captaincy. As a result, this is what Gameweek 36 looks like.

LiveFPL: Chip Usage

Let’s start with the chips this week. Almost 35% of the top 10k and 12% overall have activated their Bench Boost chip for this large Double Gameweek. With only three rounds left, FPL managers are also getting use out of spare Triple Captain and Free Hit chips.

LiveFPL: Top 10k Ownership

As a result of these Bench Boosts, there are lots of players with an effective ownership (EO) above 20%.

Considering the first half of this season was dominated by Mohamed Salah‘s captaincy, it’s no surprise to see such a huge EO in a week where he plays twice. Furthermore, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Bukayo Saka and Joao Cancelo have a majority top 10k ownership above 85%.

After that, there’s a big gap until the next most-owned player. There is plenty of coverage of both Chelsea’s defence and Everton’s attack, in anticipation of their strong pair of matches. In fact, every player with over 20% ownership in the top 10k is set to play twice in this Gameweek.

LiveFPL: Top 10k Free Hits

There has also been slight Free Hit usage. Amongst the top 10k, here is the template of them.

Three Man City defenders appear, as underlying stats indicate they are the league’s strongest defence by far. Considering Leicester have a poor defence, it’s a surprise to see such a high number of Kasper Schmeichel owners. Their home games against Everton and Norwich are too good to ignore.

Burnley forward Lewis Richardson has become the first forward to drop to £4.4m, therefore 48.21% of these Free Hits are using that price to enable an expensive midfield. Salah, Son Heung-min and Kevin De Bruyne have all been squeezed in, with Anthony Gordon having the perfect storm of bargain price and a fantastic Double Gameweek. Up front, Richarlison and Eddie Nketiah are a pair that would’ve looked ridiculous just a few weeks ago.
