Best picks from Wolves for Double Gameweek 28

Wolves have won six of their last ten games heading in to Double Gameweek 28. Currently only one Wolves player, Conor Coady, is owned by over 10% of the game making them all potentially excellent differentials. We assess the best buys from Wolves for the upcoming Double Gameweek.

Wolves currently sitting eighth in the Premier League just seven points behind the Champions League spots. They are have become defensively more solid under new manager Bruno Lage and look attractive options at both ends of the pitch for the Double Gameweek.

Underlying Stats

Ahead of Double Gameweek 28 Neale at Fantasy Football Scout has been assessing the players with the highest projected points for the round. Wolves’ Raul Jimenez comes up top with a projected return of 8.6 points.

Goalkeeper Jo Sa and defender Roman Saiss are not far behind the frontman with 8.5 and 8.1 points projected respectively.

Wolves have scored 24 goals this season. Forwards Hwang Hee-Chan and Jimenez are the top scorers with five goals each. Jimenez has also returned four assists this season.

Jimenez has returned two goals in the last six gameweeks, of the forwards only Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Southamptons Che Adams have scored more in that period.

Daniel Podence has created 13 chances in the last six gameweeks. This is level with the likes of Son Heung-Min and more than the likes of Kevin Deb Bruyne, Trent Alexander Arnold and Harry Kane.

Defensively Wolves have kept nine clean sheets this season, tied fifth most in the league. They have conceded just 21 goals across the season. Only Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have conceded less goals than Wolves have this season.

The Wolves defenders also have potential upside. Captain Conor Coady and Saiss have both returned two goals this season with Max Kilman also scoring one. Rayan Ait-Nouri has also added three assists this season, with Marcal on two assists and Kilman and Semado on one each.

Sa has made 91 saves this season, only David De Gea and Illan Meslier have saved more. Sa’s 115 FPL points is joint top for goalkeeper this season.

Ownership for Double Gameweek

Whilst Coady is the Wolves player with the highest ownership in the game overall, Jimenez is the most popular pick in the top 10k.

Owning any Wolves asset for Double Gameweek 28 will be good differentials for managers. For managers looking to double up on the Wolves they become even more attractive differentials.
