STRONG FIXTURE

TOTTENHAM

Spurs recovered from back-to-back home defeats by claiming a dramatic late win at Man City. They are in a promising position in the battle for fourth place but can’t afford a slip up at Leeds. Saturday’s win rekindled memories of last season’s fantastic relationship between Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, just in time to face a side that have conceded ten goals in their last three games. New signing Dejan Kulusevski introduced himself to the scene with a goal and assist at the Etihad, currently owned by 0.4%.

At the back, Sergio Reguilon revealed that he has Covid but Eric Dier is back in the side. However, the five clean sheets from Antonio Conte’s first eight in charge have been followed by five unsuccessful shut-outs.

SOUTHAMPTON

One of the sides to inflict a Spurs home defeat was Southampton, currently on a run of one defeat from nine league games to put them in tenth place. The cheap prices of Tino Livramento (£4.3m) and Armando Broja (£5.4m) allow squad depth, flexibility and Bench Boost potential.

A word also goes to James Ward-Prowse (£6.5m). On over 100 points, the set-piece specialist has four goals and four assists from his last nine outings and only Bruno Fernandes, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah have created more chances in total.

BURNLEY

Surely a word must go to Burnley, as the only side to play twice in this Gameweek. The impressive 3-0 win away to Brighton brought their third clean sheet from five matches, adding appeal to Erik Pieters and Connor Roberts.

Few forwards are doing well in FPL, so Saturday’s 12 points from Wout Weghorst ensure he is the Gameweek’s most-bought player so far. The two opponents – Crystal Palace and Leicester – have two clean sheets from their last 13 matches combined.
