Gameweek 26 FPL team news: Jota, Maddison, Trippier and more

Injury Update: Diogo Jota
Jurgen Klopp shared news on Diogo Jota in his latest Press Conversion. Klopp said Jota (ankle) won’t be able to face Norwich. He also said that Jota is a big doubt for the second game of Double Gameweek against Leeds. When asked about timescales Klopp stated:

FPL team news: Mason Mount
Mason Mount was injured playing for Chelsea at the Club World Cup. In Tuchel’s press conference he shared that Mount (ankle) will be out for Chelsea’s Gameweek 26 match against Palace. However, he hopes Mount might make next weekend’s League Cup final against Liverpool.
FPL team news: James Maddison
Brendan Rodgers explained that James Maddison was replaced shortly after coming on as a Thursday night as he was ill.
FPL team news: Eric Dier
Antonio Conte gave a positive update on Eric Dier in his press conference. He said defender Eric Dier (thigh) is fit and available for Spurs’ trip to Man City.
Conte also said one, unnamed Tottenham player has tested positive for Covid.
Injury update: Kieran Trippier
Newcastle have shared that Kieran Trippier has had surgery on his foot. With the announcement of back to back Double Gameweeks for Newcastle, FPL managers will be disappointed to hear that the right-back will miss two months of football.
FPL team news: Ivan Toney
Brentford manager Thomas Frank shared that they will be making a late call on forward Ivan Toney. Toney has been out with a calf injury and he isn’t yet back in full training after missing the last two matches.
