Using the brilliant LiveFPL website, let’s take a quick look at one mini-league. Here, it’s the Mods and Cons league of Fantasy Football Scout talent.

Heading into tonight’s Burnley v Watford clash that finally ends the exhaustingly long Gameweek 23, this is the situation:

Az is set to increase his lead at the top, as second and third-place both have the suspended Emmanuel Dennis as captain. He is one of the league’s 16 managers to have the armband on Josh King for the Saturday 6pm kick off.

Counting a captain as two players, there is one manager with a potential four players left – Luke Williams has the armband on King, plus Matt Lowton in defence and possibly Ben Foster. A lot of managers are waiting on the Watford goalkeeper, who missed their Gameweek’s first match and will cause autosubs if he fails to play in Roy Hodgson’s first game.

Eight of the 38 took at least a four-point hit this time, with ten purchasing Dennis only to see him immediately sent off against Norwich. 19 captained him.
